Ever-Changing "Plans"!

Our last post gave the "plans" for Baby Moses's arrival based on the new diagnosis of gestational diabetes for Sara. However, since her blood sugar has been under great control just with dietary changes and Moses has excelled in his twice-a-week non-stress tests, her midwife and the doctors have agreed to wait until May 19th before an induction would be ordered. That's good news for Sara (who doesn't want to be induced!), but does make our end-of-May schedule pretty hectic!

Rusty is scheduled to fly to Kansas City May 22-24 to preach in view of a call at First Baptist Church of Smithville, MO; Sophie's 4th birthday party is May 29th; and our home church here is planning an ordination service for Rusty on May 30th! All that to say, please keep praying with us for an early arrival for Baby Moses--and, Lord willing, an uncomplicated one. We are thankful that both Mommy and Baby seem healthy and free of complications for now...a blessing.

The Countdown!

It's MAY! That means lots of things (our 6th anniversary, Sophie's birthday, and Grandmama's arrival to name a few...), but at the top of the list is Baby Moses's due date! While his real "due date" is not until May 19th, there have been a few changes due to a recent diagnosis of gestational diabetes for Sara. So...it looks like if he hasn't arrived by 39 weeks (May 12th), an induction will be in order.

Please pray for our family as we approach another big transition time (we seem to go through big ones pretty frequently!). We are, of course, praying that the girls will adjust well to a new sibling, that Moses and Mommy would both come through the delivery healthy and strong, and that we will be able to enjoy the process of bonding with our new baby in the midst of packing up for another move.
