The Mayflower

After asking lots of questions about why we celebrate Thanksgiving and watching the Charlie Brown Mayflower special on Thanksgiving night, the girls decided to create their own Mayflower theatrical production! You can imagine our surprise when we went to see what they were up to! Sophie had converted a big furniture box into their "ship" and Grandmama (a.k.a. "Squanto" :)) had outfitted everyone with the appropriate attire. They even knew their lines and had the whole thing planned out...from being sick of the voyage to finding land to learning to plant corn to the feast. Of course parents are always partial, but it was great!

A Happy Thanksgiving

We enjoyed the opportunity to get away and see friends and family for Thanksgiving this year. We had a fabulous feast and it was a beautiful day for enjoying the outdoors together! We have so much to thank God for this year, but as I was looking through these pictures to post, I was especially thankful for the two little eyes peering at me without crossing (Moses!), two beautiful little ladies full of smiles, and a Daddy/husband who faithfully leads us all. Thanking God for all of these good gifts from His hand today.
